1. Pineapple tarts
2. Wafer sticks
3. Dried pork and chicken meat
4. Egg rolls/ Kuih kepit
5. Tit bits ranging from honey dates, dried sliced plums, cuttlefish and soft candy
6. Cake
7. Dahfa dried fish fillet
8. Drinks ranging from carbonated drinks such as 100plus and Pepsi to non-carbonated drinks such as soya bean, cincau, fruit trees canned drinks.

Conned by JST

Supposingly, there will be a training on microbial identification today at 8.30am in microbiology lab... Chun kit, me and some postgrad students waited up there for half n hour or more... ended up hearing ppl telling that the microbial identification machine has not been set up YET!!! WAlao.. ask ppl to go but the machine not set up yet?!!

Luckily kak siti fatimah saw us waiting outside the lab and told us that the training will be held this afternoon at 2pm. this is wat we called as "MAlaysian time"... So PUNCtual!!

Seribu Bintang, Bintulu

Just discovered a place in bintulu that serve yummy malay dishes..Seven of us went there to try out the dishes. The unique feature of this 'makan-makan' place of Seribu Bintang is the 'pondok' that were limited; specially build with bamboos and woods to provide an ambient environment for their customers. There were no chairs in this type of pondok, however cushions were provided for customers. Customers can choose to sit in crossed leg or even flexed their leg after a long and tiring day to enjoy their very delicious meals. This type of pondok reminds me of Japan style, where they also sit on cushions to take their meals. The pondok is limited, hence, if u wana try it, u better go before 7.00pm as many of the space will be occupied after that.

A variety of foods provided here, from chicken, mutton, lamb, prawn and etc.... u name it.. Some of the menu i remembered is nasi lemak with a variety of different different ingredients. There is nasi lemak with chicken percik, butter prawn, chicken rendang, fried prawn, chicken tandoori, lamb, quail and even deer meat can be found here...

I ordered nasi lemak with butter prawn and chicken tandoori (RM7.90).
The proportion of the foods is acceptable, and the displays were perfect. There are also side dishes such as preserved carrot n cucumber, keropok, ikan bilis with nuts and egg. The butter prawn is nice, but it would be delicious if the prawns were fresh. The chicken tandoori is a bit hard but it is still acceptable.

Chun Kit [my lou gung jai or in other words, future husband] ordered lamb chop with black pepper sauce (RM 11.90).
The lamb chop was perfect whereby u won’t feel the chewy chewy feeling of lamb. Side dishes associated with this dish are mashed potato, salad and french fries, served with chilli sauce. The mashed potato actually did suprise me with the tastes. Soft, finely mashed potato that melts in ur mouth served with its homemade sauce. DELIcious!!!

As Chun Kit likes the lamb so much, he ordered another dish with lamb, which is the lamb curry (RM 6.50). The curry was so damn nice, and eating it with plain rice/ nasi lemak are suggested. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and again no chewy chewy feeling!!! :)

Others ordered curry mee (RM 6.00), Nasi ayam penyek (RM8.00), Nasi with satays (RM8.00) Nasi briyani with chicken (RM 7.00), and Curry lamb rice set (RM8.90). For me, i think the dish that worth the price is the nasi ayam penyek and nasi briyani with chicken that comes with a whole chicken leg. Yumm yumm!!!

The cats also serves as a attraction in this particular place as the cats are partially like servants; walking around the table n pondok to make their customers happier.
Cautions: cats may jump up to the pondok anytime. So, if u are afraid of cats, then dun sit near to the open area of the pondok....

Try this place out n i can ensure u that, u will surely recommend this place to ur fren...
